How to Prepare for Your Tan
A little preparation goes a long way. Follow these steps to ensure your Midnight Tans experience delivers the most luminous, even, and lasting results possible — right in the comfort of your Boca Raton or Delray Beach home or suite.
Exfoliate 24 Hours Before
Gently exfoliate your entire body with a dry brush or exfoliating mitt 24 hours before your appointment. Focus on rough areas — knees, elbows, ankles, and wrists. This removes dead skin cells and creates a perfectly smooth canvas for an even, long-lasting tan.
Wax or Shave at Least 24 Hours Prior
If you wax or shave, do so at least 24 hours before your appointment. Waxing opens pores temporarily, and shaving exfoliates the skin — both can affect how the solution absorbs. Giving your skin time to settle ensures a flawless, streak-free finish.
Avoid Moisturizers & Deodorant
On the day of your appointment, refrain from applying any moisturizers, body oils, deodorant, or perfume. These products create a film on the skin that prevents the tanning solution from adhering evenly — resulting in patchy or uneven color.
Remove Nail Polish
Remove nail polish from your hands and feet before your appointment. The tanning solution can discolor or darken existing polish, and bare nails allow you to protect them properly during your session for a cleaner, more polished final look.
Arrive in Loose, Dark Clothing
Wear or bring loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing to your appointment. Tight clothing can rub against the solution before it fully sets, causing streaks or uneven fading. Dark fabrics protect against any transfer during the initial development period.
